The Thanksgiving feast, Black Friday shopping, the coming and going of family and friends is what the Holiday season consists of for many folks. Christmas has just passed and the winter holiday season draws to a close but not without one last hoorah! New Year‘s Eve Celebrations will take place giving that one final round of gathering as we usher in the New Year.
New Year’s Eve many people take that one last opportunity to eat, drink and be merry before the New Year resolutions kick in. Resolutions of exercising more, snacking less, cutting back on Face book time, giving more to others and so on. In addition, we hope you take a moment to reflect back on the year of 2015. The good times spent with family and friends, sharing memories of a loved one who is no longer with us, reaching out to those who have been struck by tragedy and showing support for those in need, gaining a new friend, staying in touch with loved ones across the miles, welcoming the birth of a child, joining together in marriage, all of life’s highs and lows are important to keep close to our hearts.
As we embark on the year 2016, we can hope for a brighter future, pray for peace, engage in activities to improve ourselves and others, embrace new ideas and challenge one another to be part of a solution to a problem and not sit by complaining that nothing is done to change the world. Look out for your neighbor, not look past them, compliment someone to their face instead of complaining about them behind their back. Be the bigger person in a disagreement and show compassion and understanding. Smile at a stranger, it doesn’t cost a dime but can make you feel rich. Laugh at a joke; it really is the best medicine. Stay in tune with the world around you, yet take the time to unplug and recharge your soul. Although we can’t always control the world and events around us, we can control how we react to them.
Thank you all for making this a great year for Flagsrus and we look forward to being a part of your New Year!
