Baby it’s cold outside!

There is no doubt that the winter season is upon us; snow on the ground, frigid temperatures and the lack of Mother Natures beautiful colors. Even our southern U.S. is experiencing the winter chill and even some snow!

Despite the less than desirable weather, we can see a little cheer in the wonderful seasonal flags displayed by friends and neighbors. These little beacons of sunshine and happiness can warm our hearts even when Jack Frost is nipping at our nose. In my recent travels about town I spotted many different winter themed flags and capture a few pictures to share with you.

Folks have their flags in various locations, hung from houses and garages, on mailboxes and in little yard stands. I really enjoyed seeing folks add a few extra decorations creating a display around the flag, like the one pictured at the top of the page. What a clever way to show your holiday spirit.

The fresh blanket of snow seemed to make the perfect backdrop for the flags not to mention a little sunshine was peeking through the clouds to boost morale. One of my favorites was the Peanuts themed flag hung from this family’s garage.
